A short history of English

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    The history of the English language started with the arrival of three Germanic tribes named the Angles,the Saxens and the Jutes. they spoke a language called Anglisc or Anglish which evolved in to English. At that time the inhabitants of Britain spoke a Celtic language. They conquered most of what is England today.This invasion was the beginning of the English language as the Celtic language vanished.
